Using the service

You may use Back My Brain for lawful personal or business planning. You are responsible for the information you enter, the devices you use and the backups or recovery keys you keep.

Your content

You retain ownership of your tasks, notes and other content. You give Back My Brain only the limited permission required to host and synchronize encrypted data when you explicitly enable those features.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for access to your Google account, Back My Brain sessions, initialized devices, exported files and recovery key. Notify us if you believe your account or synchronized data has been compromised.

Availability and changes

Back My Brain is under active development. Features may change, experience interruptions or be withdrawn. We will try to avoid changes that unexpectedly prevent access to your data and will preserve export options where reasonably possible.

No professional advice

Planning tools, future calculators and expense tools are provided for organization and general information. They are not financial, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice. Verify important calculations and decisions with an appropriate professional.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt its operation, upload unlawful material or use it to harm another person. Automated abuse or attempts to bypass security controls may result in restricted access.

Disclaimer and responsibility

The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Back My Brain is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use

You may stop using Back My Brain at any time. Before clearing browser storage or deleting an account, export any information you want to retain and make sure you understand the recovery-key consequences for encrypted data.
